Atlanta’s Best P.T. Team: Atlanta Human Performance Center

It has been a couple weeks since my last “official” physical therapy (p.t.) session after my knee replacement surgery on January 25, 2017.

I was fortunate to have the team at the Atlanta Human Performance Center (AHPC) to guide me though rehab.  Less than a mile from Greenbriar Mall and across the street from Tyler Perry Studios at 3250 Hogan Road SW, Atlanta 30331; it is nestled among the tree lined, well kept streets of the “SWAT” (S.W. ATlanta).  This African American owned physical therapy center is the best on the planet!  The staff is caring, competent and professional.  Dr. Keith Evans, the owner of AHPC, has been in business for over 30 years helping hundreds of patients annually who come from near and far for their outpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation.

And, it turns out this is the same place my Uncle Leo went 15 plus years ago for his outpatient p.t. after miraculously surviving a terrible car accident.  His injuries were so severe that he had to have a hospital bed at home, relearn how to walk and recover from other injuries.  About a year later, he made a full recovery thanks to Dr. Evans and Team AHPC.

While I have completed my “official” p.t., rehab of my knee is ongoing to insure longterm success.  Therefore, I exercise or attend water aerobics 2-3 times a week. As I get older, I want to age gracefully to remain mobile and independent until the day I die.

I am so grateful to have found such a high caliber facility without going downtown or to the suburbs.   Thank you Dr. Evans for AHPC and investing in Atlanta’s southwest side.
